What the app does with your location

Rhumb Instruments reads your device's location to show course over ground, speed over ground, and average speed. All of this is computed on your device. If you let the app keep updating in the background, the averages stay complete; that processing also happens on your device.

What leaves your device

Nothing. The app makes no network requests. On Android the app does not even hold the internet permission. Your position, course, speed, and averages stay on the device and are gone when you delete the app.

Accounts and analytics

Rhumb Instruments has no accounts and no analytics. No third-party service receives any data from the app.

Purchases

You buy the app through Apple's App Store or Google Play. The store processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we receive no payment details and no identity data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
