Do I need an account?
No. Rhumb works out of the box — open it and you are looking at the chart. Markers you create stay on your device and can back up to your own private cloud. Rhumb has no accounts.
Why is my course or speed empty?
Course over ground (COG) and speed over ground (SOG) come from GPS and need the vessel to be moving. Both readouts stay blank until there is a GPS fix while underway.
What does Rhumb Premium include?
Rhumb Premium adds auto-routing and average speed over ground on the instrument screen. Background GPS keeps the averages complete while the app is in the background. It starts with a one-week free trial, then costs £19.99 a year or £3.99 a month.
How do I cancel the subscription?
Open your app store account's subscriptions (Apple Account on iPhone, Google Play on Android) and cancel Rhumb Premium there. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Can I use Rhumb as my main navigation tool?
No. Rhumb is an aid for recreational planning. It does not replace official charts, official publications, or safe navigation practice. Always verify your route against official charts before you sail.
